Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Dux (ranked 1252 p4p, 1771 weight class) and Bruce Hardman (ranked 107 p4p, 148 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Dux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bruce Hardman!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dux fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hardman on the side of the head.
Jab by Hardman.
Hardman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dux scores with a jab to the body.
Dux misses with a body shot.
Dux is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hardman.
A lazy left from Dux finds it's target.
Hardman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Hardman throws a nice looking combination but Dux bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hardman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dux throws a series of punches but Hardman moves out of range.

Hardman ducks right into an uppercut from Dux.
Hardman looks to land a combination but Dux avoids it well.

Hardman gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Bruce Hardman has been cut.

Hardman throws a hook but Dux avoids it easily.
Hardman throws a body shot but no joy.
Hardman throws a lazy right hand but Dux sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bruce Hardman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hardman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dux sprawls well initially but Hardman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hardman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hardman is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Dux reverses the position - he's now on top in Hardman's guard.
Dux passes Hardman's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dux seems to be looking for submissions.

Hardman felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Dux can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hardman is looking to escape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dux is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hardman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Hardman is looking for a triangle but Dux pushes his legs off easily.

Hardman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dux swivels and escapes.
Dux will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dux feints and as Hardman raises his hands in defense, Dux changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hardman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dux gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hardman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hardman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dux haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dux takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Bruce Hardman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hardman tries to clinch up but Dux circles away and keeps his distance.
It looked like Dux wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
The crowd cheers as Dux lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hardman doesn't seem phased though.

No joy there for Dux, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A jab from Hardman finds it's way through Dux's defenses.
Dux cracks Hardman with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hardman motions for Dux to come forward. Hardman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Dux moves forwards but Hardman connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Dux is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Hardman misses with a looping right.
Dux looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hardman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dux fails with the takedown.
Dux looks to land a right hand but Hardman moved out of range.
Hardman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dux.
Dux punishes Hardman's body with a nice straight punch.
Dux looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hardman throws a series of punches but Dux moves out of range.

Dux drops his hands momentarily and Hardman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Hardman enables Dux to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hardman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hardman has his foot on Dux's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dux works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Well Dux has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
