And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 3 losses; Nano Grippy! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Grippy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Grippy wants it to stay on the feet. And Grippy tries to counter it with a takedown but Koks pushes his down on his head and steps out. Grippy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Koks fails to land the takedown. Grippy drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Koks defends it well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Olaf Koks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Grippy has hold of one of Koks's legs. Koks is fighting the takedown attempt but Grippy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grippy is working to get back to half guard.

Koks tries to take Grippy's back but instead Grippy uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Koks prevents Grippy from improving his position. Grippy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Grippy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Koks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Koks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grippy keeps working. Koks works his way into full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Koks (9) vs (2) Grippy Grippy tries to reverse the position but Koks maintains control.

Koks has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Grippy has freed his hand and lives to survive another� well, another couple of seconds at least!
