Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darius Ghetea (ranked 133 p4p, 123 weight class) and Jim Babcock (ranked 20 p4p, 18 weight class). Babcock has chosen Raiders Attack Vault City as his entrance music. Jim Babcock has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Ghetea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Babcock!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghetea scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Babcock takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've been told by Ghetea's head coaches at Team Grunt that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Babcock throws a lazy right hand but Ghetea sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Babcock has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Babcock there as he acknowledges the shot.
Ghetea is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Babcock attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Ghetea throws a hook but Babcock blocks it.
Babcock feints the counter takedown.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ghetea wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Babcock throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ghetea stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

A nice leg kick from Ghetea, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ghetea moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Babcock uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ghetea.
Babcock drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ghetea defends it well.
A punch lands to the side of Ghetea 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ghetea throws a hook to the side of Babcock's head but Babcock sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Babcock lands a nice hook to Ghetea's body. Ghetea takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Babcock changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Babcock looks to land a combination but Ghetea avoids it well.
It looked like Ghetea wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ghetea will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
