Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23095 p4p, 23315 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wala Sapi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 56 - 77 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 67 - 59 - 14, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sapi. Libat appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Libat tries for a takedown but Sapi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Libat looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. And Sapi responds with a good body kick, but Libat manages to step out the way in time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Libat changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sapi tries to avoid it but Libat manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sapi to the ground. Sapi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sapi follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Higanti Libat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Libat tries for a takedown but Sapi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Libat with a lazy takedown attempt and Sapi counters with a body kick. Libat fails with a takedown attempt. Sapi drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Libat defends it well. Sapi shoots in but no luck this time. Libat shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sapi counters with a nice body kick.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Sapi fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Libat dives in and grabs Sapi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sapi pushes down on Libat's head and hops out. Sapi darts in looking for a takedown but Libat gets double underhooks and turns Sapi into the cage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sapi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. You can see the frustration on Libat's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sapi tries to score with some ground and pound. Libat controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sapi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Libat sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Libat is trying to control Sapi's posture but Sapi avoids it. Sapi throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Sapi is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Libat's shoulder. That is not cool. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Libat holds on to Sapi's head and controls the position momentarily.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Libat drives through with a takedown into Sapi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Sapi manages to escape and get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Libat tries to sprawl but Sapi drives through with a takedown into half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wala Sapi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Libat goes for a double leg but Sapi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sapi continues to drive forward. Sapi unleashes a big counter combination but Libat bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Libat tries for a takedown. No joy.
Libat is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Higanti Libat. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sapi tries for a takedown but Libat manages to get underhooks.

Sapi has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Libat clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Sapi missing with strikes from the back.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sapi slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Libat looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Sapi really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Libat.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Libat just looking to survive in the bad position. Sapi is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sapi has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Libat's body.
Sapi is striking well from the back but Libat escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Libat tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wala Sapi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Libat is trying to control the position but Sapi postures up. Sapi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wala Sapi has got the better of the ground game so far. Sapi controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Libat throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sapi's waist but Sapi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Libat off to one side. Sapi follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Libat fails with the takedown. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sapi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Libat sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Libat decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Libat slows the pace down in half guard. Libat seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sapi for as long as he can get away with. Sapi is concentrating on defense, preventing Libat from advancing position. Sapi trying to control here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sapi is trying is best to control the position here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Higanti Libat has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wala Sapi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Higanti Libat. Well Sapi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
