Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jello Belly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Axel Foley!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belly gets a clinch.
Foley throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Belly blocks it with crossed arms.
Belly can't get the takedown.
Belly has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Foley is trying to keep an underhook but Belly manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Belly is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Foley sees it coming and defends easily.
Foley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Belly thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Foley's head.
Belly is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Belly is thwarting Foley's attempts to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foley is refusing to be controlled, as Belly sits in half guard.
Belly works his way into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Belly is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Foley has escaped the position, nice work there.
Foley stops Belly from passing to mount.
Foley struggling a bit here.
Belly lands some shots froms side control.
Belly is working to tighten his grip on Foley's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Foley has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Belly is really squeezing tight and eventually Foley passes out! Belly breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jello Belly!
