Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Malig Mferi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Tyler!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mferi throws a lazy right hand but Tyler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mferi throws a shot from downtown. Tyler moves away and avoids it.
Mferi's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tyler under the eye.
It looks like Pete Tyler has been cut.
Mferi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Mferi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tylers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Malig Mferi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tyler throws a wild body kick that Mferi sees coming a mile off.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mferi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tyler - the referee stops the clock and Mferi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tyler. Mferi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Tyler makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Mferi really felt that one!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mferi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The cut above Pete Tyler's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Mferi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tyler.
Tyler throws a push kick but Mferi slaps the foot to one side.

Tyler is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mferi has escaped the position, nice work there.
Tyler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mferi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Tyler creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mferi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Mferi seems to have got his legs back now.

and Tyler counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Mferi badly! Tyler follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Mferi out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Tyler finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Pete Tyler!
After winning the bout, Pete Tyler thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
