Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ezequiel Campos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jovany Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campos throws out a powerful jab.
Fisher throws the left hand but Campos avoids the punch easily.
Campos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fisher's head backwards.
A decent looking cross lands there for Campos.
Jovany Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fisher will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice cross by Campos.
Campos cracks Fisher with a good jab.
Fisher thows a leg kick but Campos checks it
and Campos counters with a stiff right hand.
Campos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fisher throws out the jab.
Fisher throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Campos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Campos throws a poor cross that misses
and Fisher counters with a stiff right hand.
Campos throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fisher moves out of range as Campos strikes.
Campos misses with a hook
and Fisher counters with a nice uppercut.
Jab by Fisher.
Fisher tries to work over Campos's front leg with a kick but Campos checks it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Campos ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice uppercut lands for Campos. That snapped Fisher's head back.
Fisher moves out of range of the strikes.
Fisher walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Campos looks to land a left hand but Fisher moved out of range nicely.
Fisher slips under a jab from Campos.
Campos is looking to land body kicks.
Fisher throws a wild body kick that Campos sees coming a mile off.
Campos lands an overhand right.
Fisher throws a leg kick
and Campos counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Campos avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fisher throws an off balance right hand
and Campos counters with a nice uppercut that drops Fisher onto his backside! Fisher bounces straight back to his feet before we have a chance to even start the count. He'll get the standing 8 count anyway before we get back underway.
Fisher is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fisher drops his guard momentarily, allowing Campos to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Fisher! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Campos takes it!
