Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manuel Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Teofomo Laurez !
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laurez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Silva throws a lazy uppercut
and Laurez counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Laurez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It seemed like Laurez was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Silva misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Laurez counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Silva jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Silva throws a body punch but Laurez moves out of range.
A countering left hand to the body from Laurez misses.
Silva connects with a body shot that sends Laurez 's belly button to the back.
Silva misses with a lunging right hand
and Laurez counters with a leg kick.
Silva misses with an uppercut
and Laurez counters with an outside leg kick.
Silva misses with a hook
and Laurez counters with a nice leg kick.
Silva rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Laurez counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva throws a looping overhand right but Laurez ducks down to avoid it.
Laurez is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Silva with a body shot.
Laurez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silva.
Silva throws a poor cross that misses
and Laurez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva misses with a hook to the body
and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Manuel Silva has been cut.
Laurez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Manuel Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva misses with a left hand
and Laurez counters with a nice body shot.

Laurez now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Silva rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Laurez counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Silva thinking.
Silva misses with a right hand
and Laurez counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Laurez is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Silva rather than just go for the knockout.

and Laurez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Silva misses with a lunging right hand
and Laurez counters with a crisp right hand that drops Silva! Laurez lets Silva back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Silva is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva throws an off balance right hand
and Laurez counters with a right hand from hell and Silva is out cold! A vicious knockout!
