The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Thai doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mettovaara counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Wille Thai has been cut.
Thai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mettovaara misses with a combination
so Thai counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thai is sitting in close to Mettovaara's body. Mettovaara has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Thai is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Thai is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Mettovaara.
