Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazu Yamasaki (ranked 3793 p4p, 25615 weight class) and Colt Mays (ranked 121 p4p, 149 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kazu Yamasaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Colt Mays! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Alan Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mays cracks Yamasaki with an open hand slap. Mays has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Yamasaki gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mays counters with a lovely straight right hand! Yamasaki doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Mays counter with a right hand. Mays stalks Yamasaki and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Yamasaki's face. Yamasaki staggers backwards, shaken. Yamasaki throws a lazy uppercut
and Mays counters with a nice uppercut. Mays listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Yamasaki misses with a takedown attempt and Mays counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kazu Yamasaki. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yamasaki misses with a takedown and Mays counters with a one-two to the body. Yamasaki with a poor takedown and Mays counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Yamasaki scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Yamasaki landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Yamasaki misses with the ground and pound. Mays takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Mays really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yamasaki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Yamasaki landing strikes.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mays is looking for a sweep. Yamasaki landing a few strikes. An elbow from Yamasaki crashes against the mat.
Mays avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Yamasaki. Yamasaki lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Yamasaki remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Yamasaki looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mays is avoiding damage well.
Yamasaki could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Yamasaki is working Mays over with some ground and pound from side control. Yamasaki wants to control but Mays is keeping him busy. Yamasaki tries to score with some ground and pound. Mays controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamasaki cracks Mays with an elbow. That is naaassty. Yamasaki looks up at the clock and then as Mays takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Yamasaki smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Yamasaki scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Mays is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Yamasaki can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kazu Yamasaki!
