Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ziggy Stardust (ranked 2380 p4p, 2721 weight class) and Raiden Cervantes (ranked 248 p4p, 279 weight class). Stardust comes to the cage accompanied by David Bowie by Ziggy Stardust. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ziggy Stardust! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raiden Cervantes! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stardust gets a takedown into half guard. Cervantes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Cervantes pushes Stardust off looking to stand but Stardust dives back in and keeps control.
Stardust trying to control the action but Cervantes is working from the bottom.
Stardust is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cervantes sees it coming and defends easily. Stardust tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cervantes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Cervantes tries to kick Stardust off but Stardust keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Cervantes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stardust. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stardust throwing shots but Cervantes is blocking nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cervantes is trying to stand back up but Stardust is controlling him

Stardust is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cervantes has managed to free his arm - good work. Stardust has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Cervantes wants to get back to his feet. Cervantes won't allow Stardust to pass to mount. Cervantes is trying to stand.
Stardust is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cervantes has managed to free his arm - good work. Stardust wants to control but Cervantes is keeping him busy. Cervantes pushes Stardust off looking to stand but Stardust dives back in and keeps control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cervantes can do anything to dispel that myth.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Stardust looks to score with a jab to the body but Cervantes is just out of range. Stardust misses with a wild body shot. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cervantes! But no joy.
Stardust moves into the clinch.
Stardust works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Cervantes is looking to stand up but Stardust isn't so interested in that idea. Stardust trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cervantes is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Stardust throws a big elbow that misses. Cervantes wants to get back to his feet but Stardust is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Stardust might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Stardust throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cervantes works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cervantes wants to stand up but Stardust is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Stardust forces his way into half guard. Stardust is trying to control the action in half guard but Cervantes is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Cervantes wants to get back to his feet. Stardust is trying to control. Cervantes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Cervantes is trying to stand up here but Stardust is controlling him well. Stardust trying to control from half guard but Cervantes is working away.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Stardust throws a low kick but Cervantes avoids it. Cervantes lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Cervantes takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Stardust thows a leg kick but Cervantes checks it and Cervantes counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ziggy Stardust seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stardust tries for a takedown but Cervantes circles away easily and Cervantes counters with a right hand to the body. An inside leg kick from Stardust misses. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stardust misses with a low kick. Cervantes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A telegraphed right hand from Stardust misses the target. Cervantes unleashes a big counter combination but Stardust bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ziggy Stardust dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Stardust misses with a right hand and Cervantes counters with a lovely straight right hand! Stardust throws a looping overhand right but Cervantes ducks down to avoid it. Cervantes throws out a counter right but Stardust avoids it with no problem. Stardust closes the distance looking to clinch and Cervantes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stardust misses with a jab to the body
and Cervantes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A clash of legs there as Cervantes blocks the low kick.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Stardust throws a wild body kick that Cervantes sees coming a mile off. Cervantes looks like he wants to counter punch here. Cervantes has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Stardust tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cervantes is able to avoid easily. Stardust throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Cervantes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Stardust tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cervantes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Stardust lands a head shot. Cervantes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stardust. Cervantes swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Stardust misses with a looping left. Stardust throws a low kick but Cervantes moves out of range easily.
Stardust closes the distance and clinches. Cervantes looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Stardust successfully pulls guard.
Stardust had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cervantes defends it easily. Stardust has a closed guard, preventing Cervantes from standing up. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stardust is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cervantes is aware though and is defending well. Cervantes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Stardust is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cervantes is looking to stand up but Stardust won't let him.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cervantes ducks under a wild hook from Stardust. A low kick from Stardust is predictable there and Stardust takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Stardust tries to clinch and Cervantes counters with a left and a right that stings Stardust.
Stardust has Cervantes up against the cage in a clinch.
Stardust is trying to pull guard but Cervantes has him pressed against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Cervantes wants to break the clinch but can't.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Raiden Cervantes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

 That's one minute gone in the round. Stardust closes the distance but Cervantes moves to the side and Cervantes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Stardust tries to score with a low kick but Cervantes moves his leg out of the way. Cervantes swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Stardust tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cervantes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stardust. Stardust tries to clinch but Cervantes moves away and Cervantes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Stardust has his takedown stuffed and Cervantes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
 Stardust is rocked! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ziggy Stardust. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stardust misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Cervantes scores with a counter punch that sends Stardust to the canvas! Cervantes smells blood - he's punishing Stardust with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Stardust has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raiden Cervantes! Raiden Cervantes decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. Ziggy Stardust was interviewed post fight and said 'I've been jamming too good with the spiders from Mars.'.
