This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 7 losses; Saul Hunter! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Borgia darts in looking for a takedown but Hunter gets double underhooks and turns Borgia into the cage. Hunter goes for a takedown attempt but Borgia pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Borgia has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hunter shoots for a takedown but Borgia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Borgia attempts a counter takedown but Hunter avoids it well and moves away. Hunter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Borgia tries to avoid it but Hunter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Borgia to the ground. Borgia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cesare Borgia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saul Hunter.
Borgia closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Borgia lands in his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Borgia is one step ahead there.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Borgia is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Borgia pushing down on Hunter's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Borgia wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hunter, who protects the arm well.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Borgia controlling the position from side mount. Hunter tries to improve position but can't. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Borgia trying to control the position but Hunter is working away. Hunter manages to get back to half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Borgia tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hunter knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Borgia is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

 That's five minutes gone in the round. Borgia has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hunter is trying to control but can't.

Hunter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunter. Borgia trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Hunter keeping moving, preventing Borgia from controlling successfully. Hunter pulls Borgia in close to prevent any damage. Borgia might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Hunter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Borgia's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Borgia (5) vs (2) Hunter The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Borgia wants to sweep but no luck. Borgia keeping full guard, as Hunter tries to pass. Borgia pulls Hunter in to control the position. Hunter won't allow Borgia to sweep him here. Hunter is fighting to break Borgia's control of his arms but Borgia is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Hunter stays in close to Borgia's body and controls the position. Borgia is trying to control the position but Hunter postures up. Hunter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Hunter is taking a breather. Borgia says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Borgia keeps control of the position for the meantime. Borgia gets full guard.

Hunter sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Borgia doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Hunter paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Borgia - great work!
