Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hebert throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hebert looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hebert misses with a head kick.
Hebert tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lashley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hebert stalks Lashley and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lashley's face. Lashley staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Jamal Lashley has been cut.
Hebert lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice takedown defense from Hebert. No joy for Lashley on that attempt.
Lashley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lashley steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hebert. That one must have hurt.
Lashley looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lashley takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hebert lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lashley backs up against the cage.
Hebert lands with a slapping head kick.
Hebert scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hebert rushes Lashley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hebert breaks from the clinch.
Hebert has Lashley up against the cage in a clinch.
Lashley is working for takedown but Hebert is calmly controlling the position for now.
Sam Hebert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamal Lashley.

Hebert's corner calls for a 1-2. Hebert obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hebert connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Hebert scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hebert fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lashley, pushing him back against the cage.
Hebert's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hebert lands a big head kick that sends Lashley tumbling to the mat! Hebert takes a step backwards and waves Lashley back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Lashley is rocked!
Hebert fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lashley, pushing him back against the cage.
Lashley is still on wobbly legs! Can Hebert finish him?
Hebert unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lashley lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hebert lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Hebert has Lashley pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Lashley is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Hebert - that's hurt Lashley badly! Oh, another knee lands and Lashley is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Lashley doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Sam Hebert!
