Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lasse Savisto!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savisto throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Savisto throws a series of punches but Haggar avoids them all with ease.

Savisto had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Haggar defends it easily.
Savisto has momentary wrist control but Haggar slips an elbow through the middle.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Savisto is on top in guard.

Savisto looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Haggar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Haggar scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Savisto manages to mount him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Savisto working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Haggar is trying to stick to Savisto's back but Savisto is turning into Haggar. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Haggar's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Savisto.

Haggar will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Haggar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Haggar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Haggar will probably get the nod.

Haggar attempts a counter takedown but Savisto avoids it well and moves away.
Mike Haggar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Haggar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Savisto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
