Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marco Van Bommel (ranked 3236 p4p, 5046 weight class) and Joe Poole (ranked 392 p4p, 490 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Poole's choice of entrance music: Shook Ones, Part II - Mobb Deep. Marco Van Bommel has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marco Van Bommel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Poole!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Poole.
Poole closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Poole tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Van Bommel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Poole walks away with a smile on his face. Van Bommel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Poole throws a sloppy head kick and Van Bommel moves out of range easily.
Van Bommel dives in for a single leg takedown but Poole sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Poole lands a left and a right that send Van Bommel crashing to the mat, dazed. Poole thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
