Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't no sunshine - DMX. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hippo's choice of entrance music: Black Sun Empire-Arrakis. Anderson Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Meng Hippo's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.

Hippo lands a left and a right that sends Silva crashing to the canvas! Hippo dives into mount looking to finish!

It looks like Anderson Silva has been cut.
Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hippo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Meng Hippo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva shoots for a takedown but Hippo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Silva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hippo circles away.
Hippo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hippo dances in with a quick combination. Silva is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Hippo snaps Silva's head back. Silva stumbles backwards against the cage. Hippo steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Silva's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Silva just didn't come prepared.
