Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Passel (ranked 951 p4p, 1012 weight class) and Brunta Nguana (ranked 96 p4p, 103 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brunta Nguana was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Passel drops down looking for a counter takedown but Nguana sprawls and moves away.
Passel lands with a cross.
Passel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nguana throws out the jab.
Nguana darts in looking for a takedown but Passel gets double underhooks and turns Nguana into the cage.
Nguana closes this distance looking for a takedown but Passel circles away.
Passel changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Nguana shoots in looking for a takedown but Passel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nguana's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Nguana wants to control from the top but Passel keeps moving.

Nguana is just content to waste time from the top position. Passel takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Nguana tries to free his leg and advance position but Passel is retaining full guard.
Nguana keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Passel's head.

Passel isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nguana stacks Passel on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nguana!
Passel is looking to regain half guard here but Nguana keeps moving and retains side control.

Passel is squirming around, avoiding Nguana's attempts to control the action.
Nguana goes for an armbar but Passel turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Passel.

Nguana working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Passel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Passel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Passel cracks Nguana with a solid left hand.

Passel throws an elbow that misses. Nguana uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Passel's guard. Nice move by Nguana!

Nguana must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Nguana has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Passel to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nguana is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Passel pulls down on the head and he's put Nguana to sleep! This one is all over!
