Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rafa Peziev (ranked 3129 p4p, 2336 weight class) and Michel Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos has chosen DMX - Intro as his entrance music. Rafa Peziev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Peziev is defended easily by Santos.
Santos stalks Peziev and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Peziev's face. Peziev staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Rafa Peziev has been cut.

Peziev has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Santos is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Peziev.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rafa Peziev.
Well Santos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Michel Santos was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Rafa Peziev stepped up to the mic, saying 'I be back, fuuuk the rucians!'.
