Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rokken Roll (ranked 875 p4p, 2480 weight class) and Justin Case (ranked 93 p4p, 255 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rokken Roll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Case!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roll throws a hook but Case blocks it.
Roll shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Case eats them both and turns towards Roll to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Justin Case has been cut.
Roll throws a leg kick that is checked

so Case counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Case controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Roll looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Case preventing the sweep.
Roll working a defensive guard but Case manages to pass into side control anyway.
Case remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Roll tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Case wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Case just content to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Roll is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Case is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roll is looking to get to half guard.
Case takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Roll is in all sorts of trouble here.
Case controlling from mount.
Roll tries to hold on but Case postures up.
Case controlling the pace for now.
Roll is desperately trying to improve his position but Case has a good base and remains in mount.

Case sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Roll is looking to get to half guard.
Case controlling his opponent.
Roll tries to reverse the position but Case maintains control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Case trying to control but Roll is having none of it.
Roll is looking to get to half guard.
Case avoids the attempt from Roll to control.
Roll sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Case is taking a breather. Roll says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Roll trying to control from the bottom.
Roll tries to get to full guard but Case has control of the leg.
Case is controlling the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
It looks like Case might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Roll misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Case drives through with a takedown into Roll's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Roll wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Case is now in half guard.
Case stalling.
Case tries to pass the half guard into mount. Roll knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Case prevents Roll from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Roll is trying to get back to full guard.
Roll wants to get back to full guard but Case has passed into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Roll tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Roll is trying to control Case's posture but Case avoids it.
Roll tries to improve position but can't.
Roll prevents Case from moving into mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Roll tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Case wants to control but Roll is keeping him busy.
A lull in the action here.
You can see the frustration on Roll's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Roll is not content to let Case control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Rokken Roll is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Roll thows a leg kick but Case checks it

and Case counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Roll looking for a sweep. Not yet Roll, not yet.
Roll wants to improve his position but instead Case has moved into half guard.
Still in half guard, Case seems content to control.
Roll tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Case has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Case controlling his opponent.
Roll keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Case content just to control the position here.
Case is continuing to stall.

Roll is working hard here to advance position.

Case tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Justin Case showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Roll rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Case counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Rokken Roll has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Roll wants to sweep but Case has passed to side control!
Roll tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Case presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Case can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Roll is looking to escape.
Case takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Case in particular looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Roll tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Case has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Case can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Roll is looking to escape.
Roll is looking to improve his position but Case isn't that keen on the idea.
Case content just to control the position here.
Roll regains half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Case is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The adventures of Case the control monster continue. Boring.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Case's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Roll moves into full guard.
Case looking to pass the guard.

Roll throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Case escapes and throws Roll's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Case trying to control the position but Roll is working away.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Case working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Case is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Roll knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

And that's the end of the fight!
Justin Case comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Case winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
