Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Elim Garak (ranked 485 p4p, 69 weight class) and Whealer Van Hire (ranked 45 p4p, 7 weight class). Garak comes to the cage accompanied by Mobb Deep - Shook Ones. Van Hire is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Billy Joe ft. Koni-K | Le sacre de la tronçonneuse. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garak uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Van Hire.
Van Hire circles away from the clinch attempt.
Garak darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Van Hire is fighting off a takedown attempt but Garak is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Van Hire to the mat. Van Hire regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Van Hire is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Garak sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Van Hire has no choice but to tap and Garak jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
