Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shilin Li (ranked 1629 p4p, 2586 weight class) and Nate Stanton (ranked 199 p4p, 296 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanton throws a leg kick
and Li counters with a shoot takedown. Stanton fights it but they end up in guard.
Li controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Stanton is looking for a triangle but Li pushes his legs off easily.
Li lands a couple of elbows.
Li with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Li wants to pass the guard but Stanton is keeping the position.
Li postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stanton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Li connects with a nice short shot to Stanton's temple.
Stanton is looking for a sweep. Li is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Li looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Li frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Stanton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The referee warns Stanton that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Li postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stanton looks a forlorn figure.
Stanton is still in real trouble! Can Li finish him?
Li fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Li is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Stanton goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Li!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Shilin Li!
Shilin Li decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
