Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baariq Taïa (ranked 613 p4p, 686 weight class) and Ledley King (ranked 16 p4p, 18 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taïa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Taïa showed some decent athleticism there.
Taïa is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
King is trying to get back to full guard.
King is trying to maintain the position but Taïa is very close to passing his half guard.
King tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
King has hold of Taïa's hands but Taïa slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Taïa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Taïa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks King with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
King is trying to maintain the position but Taïa is very close to passing his half guard.
