Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tapad Amiga (ranked 23670 p4p, 23522 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 35 - 73 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 51 - 59 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Salvacion won't allow Amiga to sweep him here. Amiga looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Amiga is trying to keep Salvacion in close.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Salvacion showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amiga sprawls well. Amiga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Salvacion gets slowly back to his feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Amiga pushes Salvacion away with a front kick.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Amiga throws a quick counter kick to the body but Salvacion avoids it. Horrible takedown attempt by Amiga or perhaps it was just good defense by Salvacion, which made it look bad. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Salvacion is defended easily by Amiga.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Salvacion bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Salvacion dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Amiga controlling Salvacion's posture.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Let's hope that Salvacion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Salvacion is fighting to break Amiga's control of his arms but Amiga is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Amiga goes for a double leg but Salvacion avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Salvacion continues to drive forward. Amiga is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Amiga drops down looking for an ankle pick but Salvacion pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tapad Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Salvacion looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Amiga!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion in side control, throwing shots but Amiga defends. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Amiga wants to control but Salvacion postures up. Amiga holds on to Salvacion's head and controls the position momentarily. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Amiga struggling a bit here.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amiga drives through with a takedown into guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Salvacion sitting in guard here, content to control. Amiga manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Salvacion manages to get himself to full guard.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion wants to sweep but no luck. Amiga is stalling in the full guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Salvacion looking to hit a scissor sweep but Amiga is one step ahead there.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Salvacion controlling the position.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Amiga shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Amiga is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Salvacion keeping moving, preventing Amiga from controlling successfully. Rico Salvacion has got the better of the ground game so far.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Amiga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Salvacion seems keen to control Amiga's posture.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Amiga shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion shows good takedown defense. Salvacion follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Tapad Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rico Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tapad Amiga. I think Salvacion has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
