Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Isaiah King (ranked 4119 p4p, 4060 weight class) and Josue Luna (ranked 301 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Isaiah King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josue Luna!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luna shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Luna was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Luna trying to control the position but King is working away.
Luna goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, King has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Luna but great work by King.
King tries to advance position but instead Luna slips a leg back in to half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King is taking a breather. Luna says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Luna has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. King is working away from the top position though.

King seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Luna does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

King is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Luna is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Luna is looking for a sweep. King is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

King stalling away here and it's allowed Luna to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
King has gone for a leg lock! Luna slips out almost immediately though and dives into King's guard.
King looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Luna passes into half guard.
Luna slips a nice elbow through King's hands, connecting with King's forehead.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
King is not content to let Luna control the position.
Luna slows the pace down in half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Josue Luna dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
King blocks a head kick by Luna.
King looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
King will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for Luna on that attempt.
King feinted with a counter takedown.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as King checks a leg kick.
King shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Luna has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but King is on him like a limpet, forcing Luna back against the cage.

Luna escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
King shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Luna as he avoids it easily.
Luna changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Isaiah King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Luna defends well against a solid takedown attempt from King.

Luna fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but King avoids it really well and circles away.
Isaiah King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
King fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Luna feints the counter takedown.
Luna misses with a body kick.
Luna dives in for a single leg takedown but King sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Luna closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming King to the mat! King manages to get full guard.

Luna got a little sloppy there for a moment and King has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Luna has managed to get both his arms back between King's legs - danger averted.
Luna wants to stand but King has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
King pulls Luna in close to his closed guard and prevents Luna from doing any damage or advancing position.
King continues to stall.
Josue Luna has got the better of the ground game so far.

King controls Luna momentarily but Luna frees himself.
Luna wants to stand but King is controlling his posture from full guard.

King has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Luna should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, King has tightened it up now! Luna should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
