Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leonel Duncan (ranked 4430 p4p, 4193 weight class) and Grant Gunterson (ranked 0 p4p, 303 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunterson closes the distance looking to clinch
and Duncan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gunterson thinking.
Duncan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Gunterson on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Duncan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Gunterson is rocked!
Nice uppercut lands for Gunterson. That snapped Duncan's head back.
Gunterson is still on wobbly legs! Can Duncan finish him?
Gunterson fails to land the takedown.
Gunterson seems to have recovered his senses.

Gunterson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Duncan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gunterson wants to pass the guard but Duncan is keeping the position.

Gunterson wants to control from the top but Duncan keeps moving.
Gunterson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Let's hope that Gunterson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gunterson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Gunterson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Duncan's half guard.

Duncan has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Gunterson is on him like a limpet, forcing Duncan back against the cage.
Duncan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gunterson backwards.
Duncan is trying to break free.

Gunterson is looking to take this one to the mat.
Duncan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Duncan lands a shot to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Gunterson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Duncan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gunterson's efforts to push away.

Duncan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gunterson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Duncan defends well and Gunterson ends up having to push Duncan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Leonel Duncan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grant Gunterson.

Duncan drops Gunterson with a beautiful combination! Gunterson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Duncan is looking for the KO!

It looks like Grant Gunterson has been cut.

Gunterson pushes Duncan up against the cage in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gunterson throws a punch but it's blocked by Duncan.

Duncan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from Duncan misses.

Gunterson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Duncan on his heels. He'll look to pass Duncan's guard now, I'm sure.
Duncan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gunterson on the ground.

Duncan wants to reverse the position here. Gunterson has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Duncan is forced to tap! Duncan looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
