Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dana White (ranked 25005 p4p, 24978 weight class) and Adrien Acosta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

White misses with a kick to the body

and Acosta counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Acosta must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Let's hope that Acosta has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Acosta closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

White explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
White is breathing heavily.

It looks like Dana White has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
White misses with a takedown attempt - Acosta sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Acosta throws a combination. White tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Acosta feints and as White raises his hands in defense, Acosta changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Acosta is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Acosta gets control of White's arms and successfully pulls guard. Acosta will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Acosta manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
I was talking to White's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Acosta has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed White clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Acosta has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. White is defending well but eventually Acosta manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! White has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
