PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shinayaka Totemo (ranked 3848 p4p, 2166 weight class) and T Mustana Chai (ranked 162 p4p, 88 weight class). T Mustana Chai told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Totemo misses with a takedown attempt - Chai sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Totemo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Chai tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Totemo is in Chai's guard.

Totemo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chai has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Totemo has managed to get both his arms back between Chai's legs - danger averted.

Chai felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Chai must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Totemo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chai is aware though and is defending well.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Chai has cracked Totemo with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Chai lands another huge swinging hook and Totemo tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Totemo , before Chai can land any more shots!
