The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martins checks a leg kick.
Martins throws a counter high kick but Mercer was just alert enough to avoid it.
Mercer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mercer. Martins does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mercer takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Martins avoids the head kick by Mercer.
Martins is looking to counter punch.
Mercer cracks Martins with a right hand to the side of the head.
Mercer throws a push kick but Martins slaps the foot to one side.
Martins lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Martins comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Mercer drops his hands momentarily and Martins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

That was a close round but I would say that Diogo Martins will probably get the nod.

Martins throws a wild hook but Mercer just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Martins gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Mercer raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
