Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Kidd (ranked 1111 p4p, 1281 weight class) and King Hippo (ranked 138 p4p, 156 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jesse Kidd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, King Hippo!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidd takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kidd tries for a takedown but Hippo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It seemed like Hippo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kidd shoots in for a takedown but Hippo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hippo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kidd on the side of the head.
Hippo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kidd doesn't seem bothered though.
Hippo lands with a nice body punch.
Kidd walks into a left hand.
Kidd misses with a takedown
and Hippo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Jesse Kidd has been cut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Kidd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kidd is breathing heavily.
No luck for Kidd with that takedown attempt.
Kidd shoots and misses
letting Hippo counter with a right hand.
Hippo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hippo fakes the body blow, causing Kidd to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Kidd goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

After the fight, King Hippo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
