And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nikolai Volkov!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calvin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Calvin lands an elbow.
Calvin trying to control the action but Volkov is working from the bottom.
Calvin grinds an elbow into Volkov's temple.
Volkov tries to escape but Calvin is in control.
Calvin lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Volkov down.
Calvin cracks Volkov with a big elbow.
Volkov is working to avoid the ground and pound but Calvin connects with a decent elbow.
Calvin landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Volkov is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big shot lands for Calvin! That's hurt Volkov! Will he recover? Calvin fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
