Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lukas Bernotas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stephen Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Roosa Jrvilinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bernotas.
A countering left hand to the body from Thompson misses.
Thompson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thompson wants it to stay on the feet.
Bernotas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thompson swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lukas Bernotas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bernotas dives in for a single leg takedown but Thompson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Bernotas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Thompson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bernotas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Thompson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bernotas dives in and scores a takedown into Thompson's guard.
Thompson wants to get back to his feet but Bernotas passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thompson pushes Bernotas off looking to stand but Bernotas dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bernotas seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Thompson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
