Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jam Sackson!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Sackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rios clinches with his opponent.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Rios obliges.
Sackson wants to break free but Rios has control.
Rios is pushing Sackson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Rios pushes off an throws an elbow but Sackson leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Rios.
Sackson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rios has him pressed against the cage.
Rios struggles to land a body shot inside as Sackson controls his hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sackson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rios misses with the head strike.
Rios tries for a takedown but Sackson manages to get underhooks.

Rios escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fighters circling - Sackson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rios throws a body kick that misses
and Sackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rios tries to clinch up but Sackson circles away and keeps his distance.

Rios has Sackson up against the cage in a clinch.
Rios fails to pull guard.
Rios lands a hook to the side of the head.
Sackson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Rios goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sackson prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Malakai Rios. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A frustrated look appears on Sackson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Rios throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Rios is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Sackson tries to break free but Rios pushes him back against the cage.
Rios tries to work over Sackson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Sackson is trying to push Rios away but Rios has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rios fails to pull guard.
Sackson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sackson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rios has him pressed against the cage.

Rios pulls Sackson into guard.

Sackson gets to his feet. Rios looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Sackson slips a straight right by Rios.
Rios fails with a takedown attempt.
Rios throws a combination that misses
and Sackson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Sackson lands a lovely overhand right.
Rios is looking to clinch.
Rios is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rios is breathing heavily.
Rios tries to clinch but Sackson moves out of range.
Sackson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Sackson throws a shot to the body.
Rios shoots in for a takedown but Sackson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rios moves in looking to clinch but Sackson pushes him off.

Sackson drops Rios with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rios looks back up at him and smiles so Sackson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Rios is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
OH! Rios has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Sackson smells blood and charges in for the finish! Sackson unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Rios sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
