Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hel Sinki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ard KO!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinki misses with a double jab.
KO tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sinki waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract KO.
Sinki throws a hook to the side of KO's head but KO sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
KO ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
KO slips under a jab.
Sinki avoids the head kick by KO.

KO instigates a clinch.
Sinki blocks the elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
KO tries a knee to the head but Sinki blocks it.
KO misses with a punch to the body.
KO stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Sinki is looking to break free of the clinch but KO has double underhooks.
KO misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Sinki.

Sinki blocks the elbow strike.
KO creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
KO lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Sinki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sinki tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sinki fails to land with a series of punches.
A jab from KO misses.
KO misses with an uppercut. Sinki saw that one coming.
Sinki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sinki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Hel Sinki has been cut.
Sinki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
KO throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sinki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sinki throws a shot from downtown. KO moves away and avoids it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as KO checks a leg kick.
Sinki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sinki works over KO's head and body with a nice combination.
Sinki throws a big shot that misses.
Sinki misses with a series of wild punches.
Hel Sinki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sinki fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. KO looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sinki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sinki cracks the inside of KO's front leg.
Sinki throws a hook but KO avoids it easily.
KO misses with a body shot
and Sinki counters with an outside leg kick.
KO looks gassed!
Sinki scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sinki misses with a straight right.
KO throws a head kick but Sinki moves out of range.
Sinki pulls out of a head kick attempt.
KO has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from KO there as he acknowledges the shot.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sinki throws a left that rocks KO and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Sinki dives into side control, looking to finish! Can KO regain composure!


It looks like Ard KO has been cut.
You can see the frustration on KO's face as Sinki controls the position.
KO is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sinki has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Sinki connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused KO some visible discomfort.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sinki controls the position.
Sinki fails to land a wild elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hel Sinki dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


KO is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sinki.
Sinki avoids the head kick by KO.
Sinki throws a quick inside leg kick.
Sinki misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from KO.
Hel Sinki is winning the standup battle so far.
Sinki lands a head kick that stumbles KO and the fighters go to the mat.


KO is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sinki in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
KO is breathing heavily.

KO controls Sinki momentarily but Sinki frees himself.
Sinki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sinki preventing the sweep.
Sinki wanted to stand there but KO had control of the position.
Sinki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if KO can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sinki looks to land a combination but KO avoids it well.
Sinki scores with a hook to the body. KO takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
KO throws a lazy head kick
and Sinki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sinki blocks a head kick by KO.
Sinki throws a jab when KO was well out of range.
KO misses with a hook to the body
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and Sinki counters with a nice kick to the body.

KO takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sinki works over KO's head and body with a nice combination.
Sinki smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Sinki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but KO was well out of range. Poor timing from Sinki.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

KO takes a shot right to the bread basket.
KO takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

KO tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Sinki loads up on a big right hand but KO slips the punch.

and Sinki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

KO ducks right into an uppercut from Sinki.
Sinki moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Sinki lands a glancing blow to the side of KO's head.

Sinki throws a combination. KO tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sinki throws the kick towards the body but KO avoids it.
KO uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sinki.

KO ducks under a wild hook from Sinki.
Sinki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
KO misses with a head kick.

KO defending well as Sinki loads up on a big left hand.
Sinki throws the left hand but KO avoids the punch easily.
Sinki looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nice body kick there by KO.
Sinki is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that KO can do to turn this around?
KO throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sinki's head.
Hel Sinki is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sinki's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sinki duly obliges.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sinki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
