The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tankov tries to close the distance and clinch but Van Damme swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tankov defending well as Van Damme loads up on a big left hand.
Tankov lands a head kick. Van Damme smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Tankov throws a head kick but Van Damme moves out of range.
Van Damme connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Adis Tankov has been cut.
Tankov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tankov tries to clinch but Van Damme is having none of it.
Tankov throws a sloppy head kick and Van Damme moves out of range easily.
Van Damme takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Van Damme on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tankov. Tankov obviously looking to wear him down.
Van Damme just misses with a punch to the body.
Tankov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Van Damme.
Tankov explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Tankov moves in looking to clinch but Van Damme pushes him off.
Tankov throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Van Damme's head.

Van Damme tries to bum rush Tankov with a series of wild strikes but Tankov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Van Damme cracks Tankov with an open hand slap.
Left hook, right uppercut from Van Damme.
Van Damme swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tankov has managed to clinch.
Tankov stalling.
Tankov lands a nice elbow.
Tankov throws a knee to the head but misses.
Tankov with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Tankov tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Tankov is pushing Van Damme up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Tankov lands an elbow inside.

Van Damme moves out of range as Tankov throws a body kick.
Tankov pushes Van Damme away with a front kick.
Tankov throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Tankov throws a head kick but Van Damme moves out of range.
Tankov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Van Damme throws a series of punches but Tankov moves out of range.

Tankov clinches.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tankov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Van Damme misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Van Damme throws a looping overhand right but Tankov ducks down to avoid it.

Tankov wants to clinch.
Tankov sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Van Damme to the ground! Tankov dives into full mount looking to finish!

Van Damme is rocked!

Tankov is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Tankov!
