The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rank with a poor takedown

and Lindsey moves into the clinch.

Lindsey has hold of one of Rank's legs. Rank is fighting the takedown attempt but Lindsey gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lindsey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rank wants to stand but Lindsey is controlling the position.

Lindsey controls Rank momentarily but Rank frees himself.

Lindsey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rank can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rank controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rank stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lindsey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rank shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lindsey sprawls well. Lindsey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rank gets slowly back to his feet.
