The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Alvarez.
Ribeiro throws the kick towards the body but Alvarez avoids it.
Ribeiro loads up on a big right hand but Alvarez slips the punch.

Alvarez feints a jab promting Ribeiro to slip. Alvarez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ribeiro slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Ribeiro avoids a punch combination nicely.
Alvarez fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ribeiro.
Alvarez avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Alvarez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Alvarez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
