McDonald is trying hard to land a takedown here. MacGowan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

My spies in Ground Zero Workout Gym inform me that MacGowan has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

MacGowan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McDonald has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for MacGowan but great work by McDonald.

McDonald has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

McDonald is cranking MacGowan's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for MacGowan! He's tightened the choke and MacGowan is tapping out!
