Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Popoiu (ranked 4138 p4p, 4203 weight class) and Timmy Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 359 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Popoiu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Timmy Stark!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popoiu takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Stark looks for a takedown but Popoiu sprawls well.
Stark fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stark.
Popoiu takes a jab right on the kisser.
Popoiu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Stark dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Popoiu doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Stark will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stark scores with a sloppy right hand. Popoiu should have avoided that one.
Stark lands a nice hook to Popoiu's body. Popoiu takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Popoiu is looking to clinch but Stark is avoiding it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Popoiu closes the distance and clinches up with Stark, looking for a takedown. Popoiu pushes Stark against the cage but Stark circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Stark throws a shot to the body.
Popoiu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Popoiu tries to clinch up but Stark circles away and keeps his distance.
Popoiu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Popoiu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stark lands a nice looking body shot.
Popoiu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stark defends well and Popoiu ends up having to push Stark into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Stark fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Popoiu has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stark avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Stark scores with a nice hook to the head.
Stark slows down the pace here.
Stark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Popoiu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stark sprawls well. Stark wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Popoiu gets slowly back to his feet.
Stark drives through and clinches with Popoiu against the cage.
Stark manages to break the clinch.
Stark bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Popoiu's head backwards.
Stark misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stark throws a right hand that Popoiu ducks under and follows up with a left that Popoiu also avoids with ease.
Popoiu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stark moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Popoiu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stark swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Popoiu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Stark breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stark takes the fight into the clinch.

Popoiu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stark cracks Popoiu with a good jab.
Stark tries to bum rush Popoiu with a series of wild strikes but Popoiu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stark jabs at Popoiu's body.
Stark gets a clinch.
Stark pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Popoiu tries to clinch but Stark moves away
and Stark counters with a left to the body.
Stark paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Stark throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Popoiu on the side of the head.
Popoiu is rocked!
Stark keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Oh Popoiu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Popoiu is breathing heavily.
Stark lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Popoiu falls backwards - clearly groggy! Stark dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Timmy Stark!
