Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danilo Shadow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maia has chosen Ratamahatta as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia looks for a takedown but Shadow sprawls well.
Maia swats away the attempt to clinch by Shadow.
Shadow shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maia as he avoids it easily.
Shadow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Maia decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shadow's guard.
Maia prevents Shadow from getting back to his feet.
Shadow is breathing heavily.
Maia trying to stand up but can't free himself from Shadow's guard.
Maia advances position into side control!
Maia tries to score with some ground and pound. Shadow controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Maia is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Shadow looks calm but he's in trouble here. Maia gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Shadow is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Maia lets go of the hold and Shadow can pop his arm back in it's socket.
