Carrington closes this distance looking for a takedown but Engine circles away.
Engine changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Carrington closes the distance and clinches up with Engine, looking for a takedown. Carrington pushes Engine against the cage but Engine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Carrington throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Engine's waist but Engine gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carrington off to one side.
Thomas Engine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wesley Carrington.
Carrington shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Engine defends it nicely.

Carrington works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Engine has Carrington pulled in close to control his posture.
Engine will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Engine is on top in guard.

Engine got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carrington has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Engine has managed to get both his arms back between Carrington's legs - danger averted.

Engine stays in close to Carrington's body and controls the position.
Engine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carrington swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Engine really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Engine is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Carrington is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Carrington working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Engine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Engine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Engine wants to control from the top but Carrington keeps moving.

Engine content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Carrington has locked up a guillotine! Carrington's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Engine is holding on here and Carrington must be using up a lot of energy. Engine has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Carrington gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Wesley Carrington decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
