Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ken Vrjalya!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalkiewicz misses with a hook. Vrjalya ducked under it nicely.
Vrjalya tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Kowalkiewicz misses with a looping right.
Vrjalya slips under a jab.
Vrjalya is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Vrjalya on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Vrjalya drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kowalkiewicz defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vrjalya moves forwards but Kowalkiewicz connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Vrjalya changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

A punch combination from Kowalkiewicz misses.
Vrjalya shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kowalkiewicz tries to clinch up

and Vrjalya counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vrjalya.
Vrjalya pushes down on Kowalkiewicz's leg and manages to get into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kowalkiewicz is staying active underneath Vrjalya, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kowalkiewicz trying to get back to full guard but Vrjalya takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Vrjalya wants to pass the guard but Kowalkiewicz is defending well.

Vrjalya is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Vrjalya wants to control the pace but Kowalkiewicz is squirming around nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Michał Kowalkiewicz will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kowalkiewicz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kowalkiewicz lands a big head kick that sends Vrjalya to the canvas! Kowalkiewicz follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
