Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between KK Snow (ranked 3717 p4p, 1342 weight class) and Mike Preston (ranked 335 p4p, 137 weight class). Mike Preston is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Snow drives through with a takedown into guard.
Preston avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snow postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Snow being controlled here momentarily.
Snow throws a strike but Preston rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Preston wants to control from the top but Snow keeps moving.
Preston wants to pass the guard but Snow is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Snow.

Preston's coach down at Freaky Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Preston's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Snow lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Snow looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Preston is fending him off so far but Snow persists. Nope, Preston circles away and we're back to standing.

Nice takedown defense from Preston. No joy for Snow on that attempt.

Horrible takedown attempt by Snow or perhaps it was just good defense by Preston, which made it look bad.

Mike Preston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
