The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaw closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ilmarinen dodges the ground and pound from Shaw.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Shaw has his foot on Ilmarinen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ilmarinen works his way back into a safe position though.

Ilmarinen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shaw sprawling to the canvas! Shaw rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ilmarinen finish him?!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ilmarinen unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Shaw! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Ilmarinen is unloading with more strikes now! Shaw drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
