PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Sycek (ranked 876 p4p, 1934 weight class) and Angelo Moore (ranked 105 p4p, 219 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Samuel Sycek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 38 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Angelo Moore!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore drives through and clinches with Sycek against the cage.
Moore lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sycek backwards.
Moore can't break the clinch.
Moore displaying some good clinch control by pressing Sycek up against the cage.
Sycek tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Moore.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sycek.
Sycek drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moore pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sycek throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moore's waist but Moore gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sycek off to one side.
It seemed like Moore was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Sycek feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Moore is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Sycek turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sycek manages to end up in side control.

I really don't envy Sycek right now.

Moore has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Sycek has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
