The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Juarez gets a takedown into half guard.
Juarez trying to control from Jovonovich's half guard. Jovonovich has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Jovonovich looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Juarez wants to pass the guard but Jovonovich is keeping the position.

Juarez drops back looking for a leg! Jovonovich is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jovonovich manages to kick Juarez off! Juarez jumps back into Jovonovich's guard.

Juarez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Jovonovich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Juarez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Juarez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jovonovich swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Juarez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Juarez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jovonovich can't keep his opponent in guard - Juarez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Juarez seems to be looking for submissions.

Juarez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jovonovich sees it coming and defends easily.

Juarez is working for a kimura here but Jovonovich manages to reverse the position and he's now in Juarez's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Juarez holds on and takes a little breather.

Juarez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jovonovich is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Juarez.

Juarez wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Jovonovich has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Juarez's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Juarez is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Jovonovich!
