Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Kicklighter (ranked 1056 p4p, 1458 weight class) and Ken Vrjalya (ranked 129 p4p, 174 weight class). Vinicius Kicklighter could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ken Vrjalya's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Vinicius Kicklighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ken Vrjalya!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vrjalya staying out of range there.
And Vrjalya tries to counter it with a takedown but Kicklighter pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Vrjalya slips a straight right by Kicklighter.
Kicklighter misses with a combination

and Vrjalya counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Vrjalya advances to half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kicklighter is trying to maintain the position but Vrjalya is very close to passing his half guard.

Vrjalya is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Vrjalya is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kicklighter is just riding it out for now. Vrjalya eventually gives up the hold.

Vrjalya is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kicklighter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vrjalya.
Vrjalya seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kicklighter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Vrjalya jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kicklighter is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kicklighter and Vrjalya has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kicklighter is not content to let Vrjalya control the position.
Vrjalya wants to control for a moment but Kicklighter uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd cheers as Kicklighter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vrjalya doesn't seem phased though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vrjalya is just content to waste time from the top position. Kicklighter takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Vrjalya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kicklighter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

I would just about give that final round to Ken Vrjalya.
I've got Vrjalya winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
