Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Lingfield (ranked 972 p4p, 2127 weight class) and Shahzad Abdelrahman (ranked 142 p4p, 247 weight class). Abdelrahman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Blow The Whistle. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdelrahman misses with a hook. Lingfield ducked under it nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lingfield tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lingfield has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Abdelrahman takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Lingfield looks up at the clock and then as Abdelrahman takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lingfield smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

We've been hearing that Lingfield has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lingfield shoots in for a takedown but Abdelrahman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Oooooh!!! Abdelrahman has knocked Lingfield down with a huge combo! Abdelrahman steps away and waves a wobbly Lingfield back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Jim Lingfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lingfield looks up at the clock. Bad move! Abdelrahman lands a right hand from hell, dropping Lingfield. Abdelrahman pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
