Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Dawkins (ranked 576 p4p, 686 weight class) and Charles Luciano (ranked 73 p4p, 85 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawkins walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Luciano checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Luciano looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

and Luciano connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Jason Dawkins has been cut.

Some bone on bone action there as Dawkins checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

and Dawkins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Luciano's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Dawkins's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dawkins connects with a nice short shot to Luciano's temple.

Dawkins decides to stand up, so the ref orders Luciano to his feet.

Dawkins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dawkins bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Luciano throws a nice outside leg kick.
Charles Luciano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circling - Luciano throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Dawkins stuns Luciano with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Luciano fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dawkins manages to avoid it.
Luciano and Dawkins are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Luciano throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Dawkins into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Luciano knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
