PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yellow Submarine (ranked 4008 p4p, 4107 weight class) and Jonny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Submarine shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Submarine's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Submarine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Submarine has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Submarine's legs - danger averted.

Submarine looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jones puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.

Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Submarine tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Submarine to the ground. Submarine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Submarine's waist but Submarine gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
No luck for Submarine with that takedown attempt.
Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Submarine defends well and Jones ends up having to push Submarine into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Submarine connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jones. Jones circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Submarine is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Submarine, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
