Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between dave hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Blackmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

hardy gets a takedown into half guard.
hardy is controlling the pace.

hardy is working for a kimura but Blackmore is defending it quite comfortably.
Blackmore throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

hardy has control of Blackmore's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blackmore regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Blackmore gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and hardy counters by clinching up.
hardy stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Blackmore tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. hardy smiles and moves away.

Blackmore manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
hardy wants to hold on but Blackmore pushes him away.

Blackmore is going olschool here, as he tries to force hardy to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so hardy shrugs it off.
The referee warns hardy that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Poor strikes thrown by Blackmore there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Blackmore can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as hardy is looking to escape.

and hardy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by hardy.
